Why We Created The Cutting Board Company
We’re Ken and Natalie Langley and we started the Cutting Board Company from our own kitchen bench in Lismore, NSW. Ken has been in the timber industry for over 25 years and It’s important for us to maintain our family business values. We’re committed to providing high quality artisan chopping boards that stand the test of time and make people feel good every time they use them.
What’s important to us is the quality and background of the wood. We’re dedicated to the development of Regional Australia and producing sustainable, quality timber products that are 100% Australian made and owned — this is our passion.
We only use sustainable Australian Hardwood because it’s the ideal wood for kitchen cutting boards. Hardwood has a fine grain which allows minimal absorption and a low scratch surface for knives. That makes it perfect for serving food and creates a product people will love for years.
Sustainability is an area we won’t compromise on. All our wood meets the highest standard for sustainability and ethical production. We see our products as more than just a piece of wood. Our cutting boards are not only sustainably sourced, they’re solar kiln dried, hand sanded and pre-oiled before despatch. Our standard boards come as a single plank, with no joins and no glue which makes them ideal for food preparation and even as a stand alone item on show in kitchens.
We are able to customise any cutting board to a size that suits you. We realise our clients want something special and can provide bespoke sizes, weights and even functionality. We listen to what you want and deliver a package that suits you.

All our Australian chopping boards are manufactured from 100% natural, solid Australian Hardwood timber and are finished by hand with a final coating of natural grapeseed oil. We have a range of cutting board sizes and packages for corporate gifts, home kitchen and commercial use including, Restaurant Serving Boards, Cafe Sandwich Boards and Cheese Boards.

Everything involves a natural process including solar kiln drying. Even our factory is run on solar power. We only use high quality Australian Hardwood that’s been sourced and harvested according to stringent government guidelines and environmental practices.
Our Hardwoods
Our cutting boards are made from high grade Australian Hardwood: Spotted Gum, Bluegum, Redgum, Blackbutt and Tasmanian Oak. These timbers have a tight grain and natural anti- bacterial properties which makes them durable and ideal for food preparation.
Care and Maintenance
Prior to despatch, every board is hand-sanded and coated with grapeseed oil to offer an extra layer of protection and highlight the beautiful texture, tone and character of the timber. Each board is thoughtfully packaged with a set of care instructions..
